stopping front wheel tramp
Not sure what front wheel tramp is? Watch the video below. From 14 seconds onwards the car begins to shake uncontrollably. This phenomenon is predominantly caused by wear within the front suspension bushes and spring eyes. A bump in the road, like in the video, can set up a vibration that develops and crescendos with the car shaking itself to pieces.
Fortunately with our experience and expertise, we have been able to repair several Alvis motor cars that have suffered from this frightening problem, by manufacturing new bushes and suspension pins to eradicate all wear and play. Tyre choice can also play a large role in preventing the wheel tramp. We can also assist when replacing tyres.
